For a day after the rain, when playful puddles are everywhere, skinny jeans and good waterproof boots are a must. It’s not cold and not raining at the moment, so the rain coat is packed in the backpack, just in case. For her day at school Alice is wearing Jak & Peppar Destroyed Dark Wash Skinnies and Ombre Jessie Button Down shirt in Navy Bean, also by Jak & Peppar. Her Delaney boots are by Dr. Martens.

This Saturday my girls went to drop off their Santa Mail and take pictures with Santa Claus in their Persnickety outfits. Ellie is wearing Gold Laylah top with white collar, Camel Lovey skirt with winter birds applique, Ruffle Lace leggings in cream, and Goldielocks headband. Livie and Luca Clove shoes in embossed yellow leather. Alice is wearing Ginger dress with gingerbread houses applique, same Ruffle Lace leggings in cream, Holiday red necklace, and Peppermint headband. Her green suede boots are by Naturino. All the pieces in these outfits are from Fall 2013 Golden Girl and Holiday collections by Persnickety.

Black is for Black Friday. Swing coat in pin houndstooth pattern on Ellie is Amelia E. jacket by Blu Pony Vintage. Ellie is wearing it with Persnickety double lace leggings and PePe black suede boots. Alice’s Blake coat in polka dot is by A.Bird, which she’s wearing with Gap basic leggings and UGG Cardy knit cable boots.
11/27/14 Thanksgiving
Okay, last Thanksgiving set of outfits, and the favorite one! This Matilda Jane dress I had to get in the next size up from the last year – this is the dress that made me fall in love with this brand. It’s called Percy Knot apron dress with apple applique and it’s from You & Me collection. Alice is wearing it over MJ Cinnamon long sleeve tee. Her leggings are Persnickety, headband Jak & Peppar Empress (noticed how often it’s needed at fall?)) and PePe shoes in antique bronze. Ellie’s outfit has a story too. This Miss Sixty Jacket and Jeans set I bought a while ago for Alice, but when it arrived she didn’t fit in it. I loved it so much that didn’t want to part with it just yet, so it stayed to wait for Ellie to grow up. I didn’t expect it to fit her this year, as it’s a size 4, but she grew so much these last few months that it fit her at 2 and a half! We just rolled the sleeves twice and voila! Under the jacket she’s wearing the same Matilda Jane Cinnamon tee that Alice is wearing. Her Harvest headband is by MJ as well. Shoes are Livie and Luca Clove in yellow embossed leather. I love all the vintage spirit in both of these sets – washed out colors of the dress, knit extensions of the jacket sleeves, “legwarmer”part of the pants, patches, stripes – everything’s just perfect for my liking!

Ellie is wearing Persnickety Red Laylah Top with Matilda Jane Thelma Big Ruffles, Jak & Peppar Empress headband in burnt red, and Joyfolie Harlow shoes.

It’s not Thanksgiving yet, but all the stores are Christmas crazy already! I love Thanksgiving/Fall color palette with burnt reds, orange and browns and don’t want to miss this short time window of dressing my girls in those colors. But the girls started to count days until Christmas and for this trip to the mall we chose a little more Christmassy outfits. Alice is wearing an older Persnickety Owl Holiday tee with Black Ruched Waist Skirt from their 2013 Golden Girl collection, and Red Button Tab Leggings from Fall 2012. Red Aster Mariana boots in Chili Bronx Suede complete her outfit. My little Ellie is wearing Eliane et Lena Reinette dress in Carreaux and their Eva red striped tights with black legwarmers. Her black suede boots with the bows are by PePe.

Girls are wearing all Golden Girl collection by Persnickety. Pepper Jacket over Red Laylah Top with Brown Stripe Bells on Ellie. Alice has Red Lou Lou Dress and Brown Dot Skinnies on. Her headband is Jak & Peppar Empress in burnt red motif. Livie and Luca Stitcher boots for Ellie, and PePe Brocade Maisole for Alice.

Matilda Jane Bay Winds Tank dress from Good Hart collection over Mellow tee from Paint by Numbers collection. Mini Boden Cable Footless tights in Duck Egg color are couple of sizes smaller then Alice’s size (she’s borrowing Ellie’s tights from 11/9/14 photo) and look like cropped style leggings. The matching Knitted scarf is also Mini Boden that came in a set with a beret. Her socks are Old Navy knee highs and shoes are Livie and Luca Piper in yellow suede with teal patent leather toes.
