Alice’s grey shirt-dress by Paper Wings is called Sketchy Peacock. That’s because there’s a huge pink peacock on the back. She’s wearing Paisley shorts of the same brand under it. They’re really comfortable and durable – Alice wears them to school almost every day for about two months now, and they still look alright.

I love how it looks like a cape because of it’s shape. Alice has been complaining that it’s itchy though, so I try to give her something with tall collar to wear underneath and protect her sensitive neck, like this Persnickety Betty top with cowl neckline of soft lace. Both girls are wearing the same Painted Hearts velvet skinny jeans by Paper Wings. Ellie’s fur boots are from Zara. They are pretty old, a hand-me-down from Alice. For the first day of school Alice wore Icing on the Cake ballerina dress from Matilda Jane Platinum. Love the soft colors and a skirt full of foamy ruffles. PePe silver ballet flats and Gypsy Blue MJ headband. Ellie matched with Persnickety Lou Lou brown top from Spring 2011 collection and white ruffled skirt by Zara. Her shoes are Sky Blue Petals by Livie and Luca. Hair clip is Matilda Jane Emma pin.
I love vintage looking dresses! Dropped waist Zara dress that Alice is wearing looks like it came straight from the 1930s. We wore Matilda Jane Popcorn headband low and wide to add to that 1930s flare. The cream flower clip/pin is by Persnickety. Her lace shoes are by Unionbay.
