I enjoyed putting together these reversed outfits – whatever Ellie has in hot pink, Alice has in grey; and whatever Ellie has in grey, Alice has in hot pink. Ellie’s outfit: Kenzo fuchsia velvet dress over Persnickety Grey Dot basic long sleeve tee and leggings. Her shoes with hearts are See Kai Run Francesca Mary Janes in peach. Alice is wearing Cozy Jumper dress by Morgan & Milo over Mini Boden Everyday T-shirt in Blood Orange/Cerise stripe and matching Fine Stripe tights. Her boots are Joyfolie Maci Gray. Persnickety Elsa braid in her hair.

Ellie is wearing Jak & Peppar Follow Your Heart tunic over Blu Pony Vintage Clara B. slip, and Persnickety Triple Ruffle Cranberry leggings. Her perforated shoes are Spectator Mary Janes by PePe. Alice’s Nellie dress with the bird applique is from Jeweled Forest collection by Persnickety. She’s wearing it over Persnickety Boots Applique puffer top and the same Cranberry leggings that Ellie is wearing. Her boots are Oilily Flower Power.

Persnickety Black Cassie Tunic from Hob Hill collection is downplayed here with black Eliane et Lena long sleeve tee and The Childrens Place lace trimmed leggings. Looks more casual that way. Add heavy-duty Dr. Martens Brooklee boots and we are ready for a day at the child care.

Both girls are wearing Grey and Dusty Rose Trish Scully lace wool-blend dresses from Heirloom collection. Ellie wore this same dress a year ago, when it was a little big on her. I think now it looks just right. Alice overgrew hers a little, so I added Persnickety pettiskirt, but now think it wasn’t necessary. Persnickety leggings on both, Alice’s are White Lace, and Ellie’s are Basic in Creme. Joyfolie green Piper flats on Alice and white lace Ellie shoes on Ellie. Chenille brocade coats are by A.Bird brand: the longer one with belt (on Alice) is called Blake coat, and the tiered one with side closure (on Ellie) is Kalan. I like how the lining of Ellie’s coat matches the green of Alice’s shoes.

The girls are wearing Persnickety Jetta coats, Ellie’s coat is from winter 2013 collection, and Alice’s – is from the latest Holiday 2014 collection. Ellie hasn’t lost her baby plumpness yet, and I’m sizing up for her – so while her coat is perfect in width, it looks much longer than it should, and we have to roll up the sleeves. The lining of her coat is made of the same material as her Pintuck Gaucho pants from Nob Hill collection. She’s wearing them with Dollcake Bells and Whistles tunic. Alice is wearing Mustard Pie Amelia top in sage and yellow under her coat. It almost looks like a dress due to abundance of lace ruffles, that create extra length for this tunic. Persnickety triple ruffle leggings in gold are a perfect color match to the yellow polka dots of the top. Joyfolie boots on both, Elery in latte on Ellie, and Lacey boots in tan on Alice.

Dresses: Persnickety Isabelle dress from Emerald Pine collection on Ellie, Matilda Jane Cascading Roses Peasant dress from Secret Fields collection on Alice. Socks: Cabot New England Hosiery Mills socks on both girls. I think this company is now called Darn Tough, and doesn’t produce such cool hip socks anymore, they are more sports oriented. Shoes: Livie and Luca Clove shoes in embossed leather on Ellie, and Naturino short suede boots on Alice. Headbands: Jak & Peppar Empress in burnt red on Ellie, and Stevie headband on Alice.

Ellie is wearing Eliane et Lena Pat dress and Tamara tights in fushia. Persnickety Rose Bouquet headband. Zara fur boots. Alice has Persnickety outfit on: Navy Lou Lou long sleeve top and Drew pants in green polka dot. Her green headband is called Leia, also by Persnickety. Boots are Larisa2 by Petasil. They’re really comfortable and durable – Alice wears them to school almost every day for about two months now, and they still look alright.

Janie and Jack tops, Persnickety bottoms. Ellie’s Fox Print Grey Top and Alice’s Faux Fur Collar Sparkle Sweater are from Festive Fox collection by Janie and Jack. Ellie’s Persnickety Brook Skirt in yellow with the city skyline applique is from October Sky collection. Alice’s Gold Bubble skirt with birds on branches print is from Persnickety’s Spring 2012 collection. Both girls are wearing the same Persnickety Grey Dot leggings. Both headbands are by Persnickety as well. The yellow one on Ellie is Goldielocks headband, and Alice’s is called Zaya Gray Rosette headband. Boots are: Kickers Billy4 on Ellie, and Joyfolie Maci in Gray on Alice.

Here is another set of coats. Ellie is wearing Blu Pony Vintage Flora F. coat – love all that fur! Alice’s Rochester coat is by the French brand Bleu Comme Gris. I love how it looks like a cape because of it’s shape. Alice has been complaining that it’s itchy though, so I try to give her something with tall collar to wear underneath and protect her sensitive neck, like this Persnickety Betty top with cowl neckline of soft lace. Both girls are wearing the same Painted Hearts velvet skinny jeans by Paper Wings. Ellie’s fur boots are from Zara. They are pretty old, a hand-me-down from Alice. Alice’s brown leather boots are Larisa2 by Petasil.
