6:15:14_IMG_9081_FathersDayOn Father’s Day girls were excited to wear colors and patterns to honor Dad (and it’s my favorite palette too). Alice’s dress is Blu Pony Vintage Clara B. in Copper Plaid. She’s wearing Ellie’s Daydreamer Big Ruffles by Matilda Jane underneath. She has a pair of these pants in her size as well, but we didn’t want ‘pant with dress’ look this time, so we needed something shorter. A stretchy waistband allows her to wear much smaller sizes of that style comfortably. That way we visually created an additional layer of the dress, and these pants protect Alice from an accidental underwear flash, giving her the freedom of movement. Her light blue headband is Persnickety Fairy Dust from Sail Away collection, and the shoes are Joyfolie Kats. Ellie has a mix of brands in her outfit as well. Wrapping her head is Matilda Jane Popcorn headband from Serendipity collection. It has long ties on the back that are hanging like a scarf – love it! Her top is Hotline Anna from a very old Matilda Jane line of 2009. Persnickety Bloomers in cream are from Apple Blossom collection. PePe suede Mary Janes in Star Print for the shoes.

6:3:14_IMG_8811Girls had fun playing ‘crossing the river’ in our neighbor’s yard. Today Alice wore Persnickety Maddie Cake dress with Gray Floral Gaucho pants from Heirloom collection plus Zaya-Ann headband. Ellie is wearing a gorgeous Sado Prairie maxi dress in canvas with Matilda Jane Blue Ribbon ruffle leggings to match the turquoise of Alice’s dress. Her belt with feathers is Persnickety Ivory Opal from Spring 2012 collection. She accessorized herself with a Hello Kitty hat despite my insistence on wearing the simple two-braid headband that she is holding in her hand:) Both girls are wearing neutral colors shoes by PePe.

5:24:14_IMG_8329Alice is teasing Ellie about her thumb sucking and repeating everything she does. We are trying to teach little Ellie to stop with that habit. Not easy. She’s wearing Eliane et Lena Atsuko dress over Matilda Jane Puffer tee and Cherry tights. Her pretty bow shoes are Adele Black Polka Dot by Joyfolie. Alice has Persnickety outfit on from their Golden Girl collection: Cream Peasant top, Brown Corset, and Brown Lily skirt. The headband is Persnickety Sarah Jane in Brown, and her boots are PePe Prairies in Faded Brown.

5:22:14_IMG_8264Bright fuchsia day. Ellie: Eliane et Lena Pat Fuchsia dress with Oxford Street Eva tights in Choco/Fushia, also by the same french designer, and Gap hat. The shoes are PePe Mary Janes in Star Print. Alice: Mini Boden outfit of Everyday T-shirt in Blood Orange/Cerise stripe, matching Fine Stripe tights (those were sold in packs of 2 together with teal tights), and Washed Velvet shorts in Mid Grey. Her bow boots are Joyfolie Maci Gray. She has fuchsia flower clip in her hair, also by Joyfolie.

5:7:14_IMG_7824I admit, I have a weakness for gray/neutral palette, kinda Les Miserables style… That Eliane et Lena Atsuko dress on Ellie I would get in every size for years to come – I absolutely adore it! She’s wearing it with Colibri Beige tights and long sleeve matching top, also by Eliane et Lena. PePe suede Mary Janes in Star Print. Alice is wearing Deux par Deux layered look dress with matching leggings from their London Pulse collection. PePe Mary Janes in Antique Bronze.

4:27:14_IMG_7356Persnickety day! I posted Ellie’s outfit before, and now I found matching outfit for Alice. Ellie doesn’t care yet, but Alice loves when they wear matching sister’s outfits. I think it gives siblings that little extra feel of belonging to each other. Alice is wearing Rosie tunic over the Clara Slip dress with Brown Button Tab leggings and Yellow Abby headband. Ellie’s gold and coral dress is called Sylvia dress. All these pieces are from Persnickety‘s Pink Lace and Pine Cones collection. Ellie’s Gold Dot Basic leggings are from an earlier collection. Both are wearing PePe Mary Janes – Antique Bronze on Alice and Star Print on Ellie. I just noticed that Ellie accessorized herself with a bracelet from some party favors:)

4:25:14_IMG_7271This is a great look for an older child to start transitioning to tween fashion. No more childish cute ruffles all over! Modern clean silhouette with asymmetric lines. Well, we still want to keep some ruffles on our leggings, and we’ll pair our outfit with some rough vintage looking Prairie boots by Italian shoemaker PePe. Alice’s dress is Lotusette by Eliane et Lena. The green ruffle Grassy leggings are by Matilda Jane from their Almost Summer collection. The headband with peacock feathers I got from eBay from someone who makes them.

4:24:14_IMG_7256Finishing our day with a trip to the library. Girls were wearing Persnickety Clothing today. Cream Lou Lou top and Emily skirt in Butterflies from Vintage Woodland collection with some Naartjie matching capris under for Alice, and for Ellie – Red Dot Sugar tunic, Blue Floral Double Ruffle Bell pants, and matching sash. PePe Mary Jane shoes for both.

The beautiful outfits are all Persnickety except Alice’s shrug, which is by Janie and Jack. Ellie is wearing Double Ruffle tee in pink and Script Bloomers from Meadow Dance collection. Her Stella jacket in cream is from Golden Girls collection. Her shoes are Star Print Mary Janes by PePe. Under the shrug Alice has Persnickety Picnic dress in a very cool blueprints pattern and pink Cropped Triple Ruffle leggings. Her headband is Sarah Jane in brown by Persnickety. Michael Kors silver flats for the shoes.
