On Father’s Day girls were excited to wear colors and patterns to honor Dad (and it’s my favorite palette too). Alice’s dress is Blu Pony Vintage Clara B. in Copper Plaid. She’s wearing Ellie’s Daydreamer Big Ruffles by Matilda Jane underneath. She has a pair of these pants in her size as well, but we didn’t want ‘pant with dress’ look this time, so we needed something shorter. A stretchy waistband allows her to wear much smaller sizes of that style comfortably. That way we visually created an additional layer of the dress, and these pants protect Alice from an accidental underwear flash, giving her the freedom of movement. Her light blue headband is Persnickety Fairy Dust from Sail Away collection, and the shoes are Joyfolie Kats. Ellie has a mix of brands in her outfit as well. Wrapping her head is Matilda Jane Popcorn headband from Serendipity collection. It has long ties on the back that are hanging like a scarf – love it! Her top is Hotline Anna from a very old Matilda Jane line of 2009. Persnickety Bloomers in cream are from Apple Blossom collection. PePe suede Mary Janes in Star Print for the shoes.

Ooh, that wall is bright. Ellie’s outfit is a mix of Matilda Jane Pink Petal Ruffle Capris and Gap spaghetti strap top. It’s purple color supports the purple of Alice’s Butterfly Lulu dress from It’s A Wonderful Parade collection by Matilda Jane. She’s wearing it with Persnickety Yellow Triple Ruffle leggings and Yellow Abby headband. Ellie’s 1st (First) Day of Spring headband is by Matilda Jane Platinum. Her shoes are Sky Blue Petals by Livie and Luca. Alice’s purple shoes are Pazitos Eggplant Cinderella Flats.

Shasta love! Alice is wearing Matilda Jane‘s Talent Show Shasta top from It’s A Wonderful Parade collection paired with Blue Ribbon ruffle leggings. They are actually Ellie’s leggings from the previous post! I know! Just look cropped on Alice, perfect length for the summer. Her headband is Matilda Jane as well with added custom flower pin. Ellie is wearing Persnickety Mya Bicycle apron dress with coordinating yellow triple ruffle leggings from Heirloom collection. Simple two-braid blue headband we picked up at 99 cents store! Livie and Luca Petals in mustard yellow on Alice and in sky blue on Ellie.

Girls had fun playing ‘crossing the river’ in our neighbor’s yard. Today Alice wore Persnickety Maddie Cake dress with Gray Floral Gaucho pants from Heirloom collection plus Zaya-Ann headband. Ellie is wearing a gorgeous Sado Prairie maxi dress in canvas with Matilda Jane Blue Ribbon ruffle leggings to match the turquoise of Alice’s dress. Her belt with feathers is Persnickety Ivory Opal from Spring 2012 collection. She accessorized herself with a Hello Kitty hat despite my insistence on wearing the simple two-braid headband that she is holding in her hand:) Both girls are wearing neutral colors shoes by PePe.

Alice presented this mixed brands outfit of Matilda Jane Breezy tee and Persnickety Emily People skirt on 4/16/14. Now we want to show it together with a matching sister’s outfit. Ellie is wearing Surprise Puffer tee with Blue Skies Bennys from It’s A Wonderful Parade collection by Matilda Jane. Alice’s shoes are from Zara. Blue Livie and Luca Petals are for Ellie.

5/26/14 Memorial Day

For Memorial Day girls wore white, navy, and red. Alice has Bonnie Jean dress on with Oshkosh striped loafers. Ellie’s outfit consists of Janie and Jack white bow top from couple of years ago (Alice’s hand-me-down), and Matilda Jane Firecracker ruffle leggings from Good Hart collection. Her navy polka dot shoes with white bows are from Coastal Getaway collection, which is a more recent Janie and Jack release than the top, but they go together perfectly.

Weather has changed drastically in just one day! Yesterday was gloomy and cool, and today is like we’re in a midsummer. So, we are going to have some fun in a pool. Girls are wearing outfits from the new Spring 2014 Matilda Jane collection called It’s A Wonderful Parade. Alice has Raffle Ticket Ellie Tiered dress on, and Ellie got into the last size of Bitty Ballerina top from the baby line of that collection. Her loose pants are Picnic Ruffles. Girls footwear is Carter’s. Alice is using Blu Pony Vintage bag to cary their swimsuits and toys.

Alice is teasing Ellie about her thumb sucking and repeating everything she does. We are trying to teach little Ellie to stop with that habit. Not easy. She’s wearing Eliane et Lena Atsuko dress over Matilda Jane Puffer tee and Cherry tights. Her pretty bow shoes are Adele Black Polka Dot by Joyfolie. Alice has Persnickety outfit on from their Golden Girl collection: Cream Peasant top, Brown Corset, and Brown Lily skirt. The headband is Persnickety Sarah Jane in Brown, and her boots are PePe Prairies in Faded Brown.
