For Halloween Alice dressed up as… Alice. Alice in Wonderland that is. Her costume is by Wishcraft from Chasing Fireflies, as well as her white rabbit purse. We added a necklace watch with ‘Drink Me’ tag found on eBay. Ellie saw her Tinkerbell costume at Marshalls and didn’t want anything else since. I just added Tinkerbell Trick or Treat Bag / Basket from Disney Store, which she loved. Both girls have Persnickety basic mesh tees under their dresses.
Today at school Alice had a ‘Sock It To Drugs’ day. So this whole outfit was put together around the mismatched socks by Little Miss Matched. I love the idea – socks come in packs of 3(!) – similar fun pattern, but all different socks. You can wear them mismatched, or you can buy two of the same pack and pair them matching. So much fun! With the socks:) Alice wore Persnickety Ivy Button Up top from Bo Peep collection and Blue Dot Skinny Capri jeans from their Sail Away collection. Matilda Jane headband, Knoll Cloud shoes by Livie and Luca, and Jak & Peppar Heartfelt Hoodie in Charcoal Motif finish this ‘socky’ outfit.
Ellie’s faux-layered cake dress is called Livvy in Cider and it’s by Magpie & Mabel. She’s wearing it with Persnickety triple ruffle yellow leggings and Livie and Luca Petal shoes. Alice is wearing Persnickety Mya Bicycle apron dress with Matilda Jane Goldenrod leggings. Her yellow patent shoes with bows are Joyfolie Loralie.
Today we mixed Matilda Jane and Mini Boden to create matching sisters outfits. Here is what the girls wore. Matilda Jane Clever Fox sweater and Looking Glass socks on Alice are from Fall 2014 Secret Fields collection. Her Mini Boden Pretty Garden Bird skirt in Duck Egg color matches the sweater. Alice’s shoes are Livie and Luca Piper in yellow. Both girls headbands are Matilda Jane, Alice’s is from an older Gypsy Blue collection and Ellie’s Vintage Bloom headband is from current Secret Fields collection. Ellie’s Sweet Pink Deer Applique tee by Mini Boden matches pink flowers on the pockets of Hold The Phone skirt by Matilda Jane from the same Secret Fields collection. Her shoes are Francesca Mary Janes by See Kai Run in peach with pink hearts.
Ellie is wearing a gorgeous Lace Scene Prom dress from Next Direct that has plenty of layers of underskirts and that matches Alice’s Paper Wings draw string Pink Ballerinas tunic. To keep up with the fullness of Ellie’s dress Alice is wearing Persnickety white and ivory Mimi skirt that is peeking from underneath the tunic. Her headband is Zaya-Ann and Ellie’s is Creamsicle, both by Persnickety. Knoll Cloud Blue shoes on Alice, and Sky Blue Petals on Ellie, both by Livie and Luca.
We mixed Jottum with Persnickety in these matching sisters outfits. Alice is wearing Jottum striped skirt with Persnickety Basic Ruffle Tank in Blue, from Summer Celebration collection, that reads ‘I am determined to be cheerful and happy…’. Her boots are Delaney in Blue Little Flowers by Dr.Martens. Ellie’s suspender style dress/jumper in pin stripe zips up the front and is by Jottum. It’s worn over Persnickety Basic Leggings in Black stripe, which are from the new Fall 2014 Autumn Splendor collection. Her shoes are Livie and Luca Ports in blue.
Today girls are wearing ‘unmixed’ outfits, same brand each. Ellie is dressed in all Persnickety: Grey Baby Cord Riding pants (Vintage Woodland) and Shoes Applique Puffer Sleeve top under the Grey Alice vest. Alice is wearing all Jak & Peppar: Pep School Cargo Patch Forrest Skinnies with Heartfelt Hoodie over Joplin High Low Tunic, both in Charcoal Motif. I love the back of that top! In the morning Ellie had Dr. Martens Brooklee boots in Black Mini Tydee. Then she changed into Livie and Luca gold Pio Pio shoes. Alice was wearing Brocade Maisole PePe boots in Taupe all day. The Fox backpack from The Land of Nod is called Teacher’s Pet.
The pink of Janie and Jack‘s Parisian Park collection is the exact same pink that Persnickety used in their Nob Hill collection. Alice’s Parisian Park dress is called Ribbon Ponte dress. Her Persnickety Vintage headband is from the same Nob Hill collection as the whole Ellie’s outfit: Black Cassie Tunic, Pink Triple Ruffle leggings, and Dottie Headband. For the shoes Ellie’s wearing Livie and Luca ports, and Alice’s black bow flats are by Steve Madden.
Sorry for the quality of this photo – I could only catch girls at the dusk, but I really wanted to show this gorgeous Blu Pony Vintage Greta G. dress on Alice (who knows when she’ll wear it again with weather getting colder). We matched the small flowers of Alice’s dress with the floral pattern of Poppy dress by Persnickety for Ellie.
It’s funny how Jak & Peppar makes a 6 year old look like a teenager:) I love that mature look for Alice, even though I really want her to stay 6 as long as possible.
