I didn’t think much of this dress until Ellie put it on – it sits so perfectly cute and is so twirly! It’s from Matilda Jane Platinum collection and is called Sprinkles tank dress. Love the details, like the little ruche at the collar line and the sash that can be tied in front, back, or the side like we did. Ellie’s shoes are Livie and Luca Skipper in Cornflower.

I love the style of this dress on Ellie. It’s Tidal Toile shirt dress in aqua blue by Matilda Jane from their Secret Fields collection. The matching Bluebell Headband is from the same collection and on sale now at MJ’s Good Luck Trunk. Beautiful Livie and Luca Pio Pio shoes in Light Blue (Spring 2015 collection) are matching the blue of the dress exactly!

Tea Collection leggings: Zuha Metallic Capri in gold diamond print on Ellie and in silver stripe on Alice. Matilda Jane headbands: Vintage Bloom on Ellie and Gypsy Blue on Alice. Ellie’s shoes are Printed Pumps in Strawberry from Next Direct, and Alice’s are Knoll Cloud Blue by Livie and Luca.
This sunny Saturday the girls wore their new Matilda Jane dresses. Both are from the current Hello Lovely collection, April 1st release. Alice’s white dress in yellow stripes is called Rise and Shine, and it’s still available in sizes 8 and up. Ellie’s peach pink flutter dress in tiny polka dots is called Pretty Pearls Dress, but it was sold out in minutes after the release and I’m afraid the link is no longer active. Both dresses are very simple, but fit so beautifully… Love the pleats of Alice’s dress and it’s fitted bodice. Love high ‘waist line’ of Ellie’s dress – it hides her ‘baby belly’ and brings out her baby cuteness. Both dresses are knit and stretchy – the girls feel comfortable, can move freely, and still look girly. We always wear shorts under the dresses, I just never mention them because they are not showing, but not this time… Ellie’s yellow shorts are Matilda Jane Cheerful Shorties from last year’s It’s A Wonderful Parade collection. Alice is wearing Persnickety White Double Ruffle shorts with her dress. Her Cream Lace Necklace is also by Persnickety as well as Ellie’s Goldielocks headband from Apple Blossom collection. Alice’s custom made hair clip came from Matilda Jane. Shoes are: PePe Vitello Rose ballet flats on Alice, and Livie and Luca Sundae Mary Janes on Ellie.
